# Founder NFT

Roundable's initial raises were done through Empire Capital's community, providing the funding to accelerate development of the app. In return, contributors received Founder NFTs. These are [Fractional NFTs](https://www.binance.com/en/blog/nft/how-are-fractional-nfts-changing-the-nft-space-421499824684903814) which will be used to claim dividends based on the subscription fees of the Roundable app.

Holders of Founder NFTs can either keep holding it on DeFi and claim their dividends via the Roundable app. Alternatively, the NFTs can be redeem for IRL shares on a NZ Stock Exchange once the company is publicly tradable. Dividends would then be claimed as normally done for a stock. This means that in essence the Founder NFTs represent shares in the Roundable company.
